Fixed Wireless sell the connectBlue Bluetooth Rugged Serial Port Adapter RBS433 which provides a complete wireless serial cable replacement device. The Serial Port Adapter has embedded Bluetooth stack (SPP, DUN and PAN profiles), serial interface, and support for 7 slaves connected at the same time. With its IP65-classed housing, it is built for tough and demanding environments, in-door or out-door. The high receiver sensitivity and output power enables a range of up to 1000m.
The RBS433 uses Bluetooth version 2.1+EDR (Qualified and Listed Product) and is prepared for version 3.0 via a firmware upgrade. Supported Bluetooth profiles include:
- Generic Access Profile (GAP)
- Serial Port Profile (SPP)
- Dial-up networking Profile (DUN, GW, DUN DT)
- Personal Area Networking Profile (PAN) roles (PANU & NAP Output power (Class 1 +17dBm (includign antenna gain)
